Leadership and Staff

Terry grew up between the heat of West Texas and the mountains of Colorado until he graduated from Lubbock Christian College and began his ministry in 1980. He began in his small hometown church in Petersburg, TX before moving to the Church of Christ in Slaton, TX. During this time, he received his Masters of Science in Bible and Ministry from Lubbock Christian University. Eventually, God led Terry to a job offer in Virgina where his sermon was seen by members of Westview who were visiting from Colorado. This God-led interaction eventually brought the Newtons to their new home. Terry and his family moved to Greeley in February, 1999 as the minister of Westview, a role he continues to serve in today to the English congregation. Terry and his wife, LaNelle, have two daughters, Whitney and Amanda, and a son, Cory. All three are married to godly spouses and have blessed Terry and LaNelle with nine grandchildren.

In 2004, Westview Church of Christ established their Hispanic ministry to meet the needs of the surrounding community. In 2008, they were in need of a new Hispanic Minister and God led them to Mexico City (the one in Mexico), where Rufino had established his own ministry journey, and they brought Rufino and his family to Greeley, CO. Under Rufino's leadership, the Hispanic ministry grew into its own congregation that shares the church building with the English members. Rufino originally graduated from the Baxter Institute of Biblical and Cultural Studies in Honduras in 1994, and in 2025, he received his Masters of Divinity from Abilene Christian University. Rufino and his wife, Dunia, have three sons: Isaac, Aaron, and Moises. They have one granddaughter.
