Young Families Discovery Group
OK... we're not all "young" anymore, but the group is intended for families with children who are still in school. But working that in the name didn't really roll off the tongue!

Who we are in this group
This Discovery Group is intended for young families to connect with each other and to allow their children to play together and get to know one another.
We meet every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month in the evenings to share a meal, get to know each other, pray together, and have a Bible study.
At this time, we meet on the first Sunday of the month at the home of Cory and Katie Newton, and on the third Sunday of the month, we meet in the fellowship hall at the church building. For our meeting on November 1st, we will be meeting at the home of Cory and Katie Newton. Our Current Study
From the Bible, we are studying through the book of Proverbs one chapter at a time. At the end of each meeting, we will read the next chapter for discussion. All the adults in the group are asked to meditate on this chapter over the next two weeks and select the passage that stands out to them for the group to discuss in two weeks. Please check the Discovery Groups Calendar and the individual events for this group to see what chapter will be discussed for that specific week.
These times are also open for any discussions relating to marriage or parenting and we would like any members of the group to bring any resources related to this to the group for us to discuss. And wherever these studies go, we trust God is leading the discussion.

Meal Planning
We will share a meal together in this group and would request everyone who is coming to sign up through the link below to make sure all meal items are covered. If there is something you would like to bring that you do not see, you are welcome to bring it anyways to share!

Gluten-free and grain-free options are appreciated!
Our meal for November 1st will be chili, Frito pie, and cinnamon rolls! The weather may not seem cool enough for it yet, but it's November so let's try to push that cold weather comfort food! We ask that if you are coming, you sign up through the link below once it is set up for what you can bring. Please do this ASAP if you are attending so we can have a clear idea of how many we will have.

-setting up dodge ball
-hosting a movie night
-playing laser tag in the church auditorium
-making the church auditorium a roller rink
